10 Days Kenya Mega Safari
This astounding journey starts from Nairobi to Amboseli National Park – Abardare National Park – Samburu National Reserve – Lake Nakuru National Park – Lake Naivasha/ Hells Gate – Maasai Mara National Park, back to Nairobi.
Amboseli National Park is one of the best places in Africa to meet large herds of elephants. This is a scenery like no other with five different habitats i.e. dried-up bed of Lake Amboseli, the savannah and woodlands, wetlands and Sulphur springs.
The name “Amboseli” is derived from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”. Visitors can also visit the local Maasai community living around the park for an experience of an exotic culture in this part of the world. Crowning this safari will not be any better without the spectacular up-close background view of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak.
Abardare National Park is a high-altitude park created to protect the slopes and moorland of Abardare mountains. It is a perfect location for topography enthusiasts and for viewing wild animals and birds.
Samburu National Reserve is situated on the banks of Ewaso Ng’iro river in Kenya. On the other side of the river is the buffalo springs reserve. Samburu Reserve has various Wide-open grass plains scattered acacia bush that host a wide variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species with the rooftop of the car opened for great views and photography.
Lake Nakuru National Park is a sanctuary for Rhinos (both black and white) and the Rothschild Giraffe. It is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives where you get a chance to enjoy the ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding Rift Valley escarpment.
Lake Naivasha; a name derived from “Nai’posha” a maasai word that means rough water, is one fresh water lakes in Kenya. An adventure on this lake especially through a boat ride grants you an amazing view of the sea creatures and birdlife.
Hell’s Gate National park is named after a narrow break in the cliffs is popular for wide range of fauna and its spectacular scenery that includes Hell’s gate Gorge (a narrow sandstone gorge well shaped by water and light), Fischer’s Tower (a high volcanic column) and Central Tower column. Zebras and Giraffes are usually seen in the Fischer’s tower. The park also contains a cultural center that the maasai community use to showcase their traditions and culture. More so, you can drive, walk and cycle within the park.
Maasai Mara National Reserve in southwestern Kenya, is an area of preserved savannah which spans to the Tanzanian border. It is exceptionally known for the annual wildebeest migration between Kenya and Serengeti in Tanzania alongside other wildlife like lions, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, hippos and elephants.
In the morning, you will be driven from Nairobi to Amboseli national park, to your booked lodge/camp for lunch and relaxation.
After lunch and relaxation proceed for Game drive in the park from 4 pm till 6 pm where you will get to see various Wide-open grass plains with the famous Mt. Kilimanjaro in the background which is the highest mountain in Africa with its beautiful snow caps and, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species with the rooftop of the car opened for great views and photography.
In the evening, have dinner and overnight.
This day is exclusively set aside for touring Amboseli National Park with early morning game drive where the light is perfect at Mount Kilimanjaro background which offers good photographic scenery coupled with the concentration of wildlife on the ground. We return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterwards enjoy a dip in the pool or game viewing from the lodge terrace.
Take lunch at the lodge/camp and in the afternoon have an option to visit the Maasai village (Optional extra). We later embark an evening major game drive. Later on, return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Amboseli National Park is at the foot of Africa highest mountain, 5895m Mt Kilimanjaro, this National Park offers some of the best opportunities to see African animals because its vegetation is sparse due to the long dry months.
Amboseli National Park is home to wild animals, which includes the African elephant, buffalo, impala, lion, cheetah, hyena, giraffe, zebra, wildebeest among other African animals. There are also host of Kenyan birds, both large and small, to see if you keep your eyes open and stop at every sighting. Meal
After breakfast embark on a journey to Aberdare national park. Check into your respective hotel/lodge followed by relaxation and view of Mt. Kenya
Guests will enjoy an amazing view of the highest Mountain in Kenya and enjoying amazing activities by the foot of the mountain offered by the hotel such as horse riding and other hotel amenities. Dinner and overnight stay.
Explore the beautifully scenic region of Aberdare that is much cooler than Savannah in the morning after breakfast, followed by a visit to the several picturesque waterfalls in the park. Lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on game drive in search for Black Serval, Black Leopard (seldom seen), Eastern Bongo (a huge forest antelope) and other wild animals. You will also enjoy watching animals coming to the waterhole at the famous Treetops lodge. Dinner and overnight stay.
After having breakfast, we travel to fiercely beautiful Samburu Park that is full of arid savannahs watered by river Ewaso Ng’iro. It is a home of reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebras and Beisa oryxes, species found north of the equator.
Check in your booked lodges/camp for lunch then some relaxation.
Later on- Game drive in the Samburu (Buffalo springs)

Drive to Lake Nakuru after breakfast. Check into your boked lodge/camp for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, take a game drive to see one of the largest ornithological (bird) spots including pink flamingos which attract visitors worldwide, and a variety of wildlife not forgetting the famous white Rhino found in this park. Thereafter, enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or Camp
Embark on a trip to lake Naivasha for a boat cruise where you’ll watch hundreds of birds and several sea creatures.
A trip to Hell’s gate after lunch. There will be a cycling adventure or a trekking adventure (for those who do not like riding) for about 2 hours. What will follow is a tour to the Hell’s gate Gorge, Central Tower Gorge and Fischer’s Tower (for wildlife viewing). More activities will include bird watching (the lammergeyer vultures), rock climbing and wildlife viewing. Dinner and overnight stay.
After breakfast drive to Maasai Mara to your booked lodge/camp. Spend the rest of the day at the park which is popular by the local residents for predators such as lions and cheetahs. The park is home to many other wildlife species like the Zebra, Giraffe, Hippo and the dangerous Crocodiles in the Mara river which you will visit of course. Hot air balloon rides will give a spectacular overhead view of Maasai Mara plains as it spreads across the region. Dinner and overnight stay.
Enjoy breakfast and then be driven to the famous Masai Cultural village where you will enjoy an educative session on the lifestyle of the Maasai. From the education to the daily lifestyle and cultural dances of the Masai.
Afterwards depart for Nairobi.
