Safari Overview
The Safari starts from/returns to Mombasa. It is awe-inspiring and wondrous tour, filled with beautiful scenery and a wide variety of wildlife for viewing. Tsavo East is vastly known for having red elephants. Lions, leopards, elephants, crocodiles, cheetahs, zebras, baboons are also found in the park. Nature sites that you’ll tour include river Tsavo, Lugard falls, Aruba and breath taking Yatta plateau that measures 300 km in length hence being the longest lava flowing plateau worldwide.
Safari Itinerary
Leave Mombasa in the morning and drive to ‘Bachuma gate’, the main gate of Tsavo East and proceed with an en-route game drive to your booked camp or lodge for lunch. After lunch enjoy afternoon game drive in search for the elephants, buffaloes, cheetahs, zebras, leopards, baboons and other types of wildlife. Dinner and overnight at your Safari Camp/Lodge.
Early morning game drive before breakfast and marvel at African sunrise while watching birds and wildlife. After breakfast visit the Aruba dam where lots of wildlife can be seen, the Yatta plateau which is the longest worldwide and continue searching for herds of red elephants near the waterholes, the famous Aruba dam where lots of game could be found, lots of birding life. Enjoy lunch at your booked Safari Lodge/Camp and later on be driven back to Mobasa.You will have an option of passing through a Masai village on your way back to Mombasa (at an extra cost).
